Thankful to be back home in the new year, and to find this package waiting in the mail.
Ruminate Magazine is a beautiful promise of community and contemplation, and I’m grateful for my work to be a part of its Issue 53: Shelter. This poem, “integument,” was a difficult one to write and share, and I’m happy to see it featured here as one of the finalists for the 2019 Janet B. McCabe Poetry Prize.
My thanks to Kristin George Bagdanov, the poetry editor for Ruminate, for her guidance through the publishing process.
