AWP 2019 bound

The upcoming AWP Conference in Portland, Oregon, is just days away. While I’m slightly panicking looking at the schedule and wishing it was easier to pick and choose which sessions to attend, I know that I am so looking forward to meeting my writing people, attending their events, and simply soaking in the literary atmosphere.

Writer-friends, if I don’t find you first ☺️, here’s where you could find me at the conference:

  • Friday, March 29, 3-4 PM Booth 5071, Bookfair Exhibit Hall–I’ll be one of the Writer to Writer Program Booth Ambassadors sharing our experiences in the W2W program.
  • Saturday, March 30, 12-1 PM Booth 3006, Bookfair Exhibit Hall–I’ll be volunteering for the Rainier Writing Workshop. Come visit us and find out more about our wonderful MFA program.
  • Saturday, March 30, 1:30-2:45 PM Bookfair Stage 2, The Zachary A. Doss Stage–Lightning Readings by Writer to Writer Mentee Alumni–I’ll be amongst the folks reading from their work published in the past year. (To read the bios of our group of writers, please check out this post by fellow alum and the wonderful and hardworking organizer of the reading-event, P.D. Keenen.)

This will be my first time participating in an AWP conference-related event, and I am excited about that! I’ll also be joining the Twitter and Instagram conversations about the conference if you’d like to follow along.
See you soon, Portland!
