Preeti Parikh is a poet and essayist currently pursuing her Master of Fine Arts in creative writing degree at the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University, where she is also a recipient of the Linda Bierds and Carol Houck Smith graduate scholarship.

Preeti’s poems have been published in Kweli Journal, Mom Egg Review, Literary Mama, Riparian – Anthology, and elsewhere. Recently, her poem “integument” was named a finalist for the 2019 Janet B. McCabe Poetry Prize. In the past, Preeti has pursued her study of poetry through Stanford Continuing Studies, Harvard Extension School, and other workshops. She is an alumna of the AWP Writer to Writer Mentorship Program, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Tin House Winter Workshop, and Antioch Writers’ Workshop. Her earlier academic training was in the field of medicine. Preeti is presently putting together the manuscript of her first book-length collection of poems.

Born and raised in India, she now lives in Ohio with her family.
